Arlington - Satou Sabally earned the second triple-double in Wings’ franchise history, as Dallas defeats Washington 90-62 Friday night.

With a 14 point, 11 rebound and 10 assist performance, Sabally recorded her first career triple-double much to the delight of the home crowd. She becomes the first Wings player since the team relocated to Dallas in 2016 to record a triple-double.

Dallas began Friday night’s contest with obvious intention to find Teaira McCowan and the team did just that. McCowan scored 14 of Dallas’ 24 first quarter points.

The scoring efforts by Dallas came from all directions. Arike Ogunbowale finished the game with 18 points. Natasha Howard added 14 points and nine rebounds. McCowan made nine of her 11 shots for 18 points. Rookie Maddy Siegrist scored an impressive 10 points off the bench.

Awak Kuier scored 12 important points Friday. She appears to have a surge in confidence lately and she is being rewarded with meaningful playing time by Coach Latricia Trammell.

“She’s one who I always thought had a high ceiling,” says Trammell. “She will continue to enhance her game so I’m extremely excited about her.”

In holding Washington to a season-low 62 points, Dallas adds to an impressive home record of 9-3.

The Wings are in for a tough road matchup against the league-leading Las Vegas Aces this Sunday.
