Arlington - The Dallas Wings (6-6) returned to winning form with an 85-73 victory over the Atlanta Dream (5-6) Tuesday night.

The evening saw several heated moments, mostly between the players and the officials. In total, there were ten technicals assessed. Arike Ogunbowale was even ejected after her second technical late in the fourth quarter. Ogunbowale did, however, manage to score 21 points before leaving the game.

Natasha Howard had arguably one of her best games as a member of the Wings, scoring a game high 23 points on seven of 15 shooting. Howard also played stellar defense on Atlanta's Rhyne Howard, limiting her to just 15 points on only 3 of 13 shooting.

Much to the delight of the Dallas crowd, Teaira McCowan returned to the court after completing play with her Turkish National Team.  In 23 minutes of play, she scored nine points and collected 11 rebounds. At one point in the game, both McCowan and fellow center Kalani Brown took the court together. Brown completed another double-double, with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Once again, Dallas rebounded its opponent rather impressively. With both Brown and McCowan playing down low, all indications are that this will remain a trend for the Wings this season.

“I think we’re definitely the tallest team in the league,” says Coach Latricia Trammell on McCowan returning to the lineup. “Kalani was so excited to see T (Teaira) knowing that we’re going to do that at times and put both of them in, especially depending on who’s on the floor from the other team.”

Up next, Dallas has a tough road schedule, including two games against the Los Angeles Sparks.
