The Oklahoma Sooners’ quarterback Kyler Murray has just won the Heisman Trophy.

With the newfound honor of being a Heisman winner, will Murray still give up football to pursue a full-time professional baseball player? This seems to be the question on so many minds, as Murray accepts his award.

Back in January, Murray was drafted ninth by the Oakland Athletics. He was also afforded a $4.66 million signing bonus. The plan, or rather the agreement - Murray would play one final season of football. He all bust wasted away at Texas A & M and then watched Baker Mayfield shine before getting his turn under center for Oklahoma.

Murray, a junior from Allen, Texas has had a historic season for the Sooners and would undoubtedly be drafted first or second in the NFL Draft. Scouts appear to even have confidence that Murray may in fact give the NFL a try.

Much remains to be witnessed from the very athletically inclined Murray. Wether he heads for the diamond or the football field - there is a sports world radar on Murray. Right now, he should simply relish in all of the glory that comes along with being a Heisman recipient.
