Arlington - The Dallas Wings are no longer undefeated at home, after falling short to the impressive Los Angeles Sparks 79 - 61.

On a day when the offensive-powered Wings just could not get going, the Sparks took full advantage to earn the road win. Dearica Hamby had 23 points and eight rebounds for the Sparks on Wednesday. She was the games’s top scorer. Nneka Ogwumike added 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Jordin Canada added 15 points and six assists for Los Angeles (5-4). The Sparks shot over 50 percent from the field, while Dallas shot just 36 percent and had 17 turnovers.

“We definitely had opportunities and open looks around the basket especially,” shares Dallas Coach Latricia Trammell. “And think about this, the layups - we’ll just get back after it tomorrow - that’s all we can do.”

While the outcome was disappointing for Dallas, Kalani Brown undoubtedly had her best game as a member of the Wings. She led the team in scoring with a career high 21 points, and she added 11 rebounds. Brown recorded twenty or more points for the first time in her career on 10-14 shooting.

Satou Sabally set a franchise record, by securing her seventh straight double-double — with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Arike Ogunbowale added 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting.

Dallas falls to 5-5 and will face the Seattle Storm at home on Saturday.
