South Oak Cliff Completes 56-0 Friday Night Route Against Kimball
Dallas - The South Oak Cliff Bears celebrated a productive first quarter over the Kimball Knights and never looked back in route to a 56-0 victory.
The first offensive possession for South Oak Cliff (SOC) resulted in a punt. As would be the story for the rest of the game, SOC then forced a three and out on defense. Shortly into their next offensive possession, Carter Kopecky connected with Miles Johnson on a 40 yard pass for the first score of the game. SOC would score two more touchdowns in the first quarter - one score on an interception deep in Kimball’s territory.
South Oak Cliff (4-3, 3-0 District 6-5A Div. II) would never allow Kimball (2-4, 1-1) to settle into their offense, forcing the quarterback Trust Breaux to scramble for negative yardage throughout the game. Breaux only completed three of his 10 pass attempts and threw two interceptions.
The SOC rushing attack dominated the game - notching 401 yards on 35 rushing attempts and four touchdowns. The Bears would also pass for 122 yards and three passing touchdowns combined from Kopecky and Tray Walton.
The forgettable night for Kimball ended with their depleted offense recording only 91 total yards.
SOC will face Samuel in two weeks. Kimball will face Samuel next Thursday.
