NBA veteran Chandler Parsons has suffered significant injuries following a car wreck in the Atlanta area last week. Parsons current team, the Atlanta Hawks announced last Wednesday that Parsons had been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol after suffering a concussion and whiplash in the crash, but did not disclose any further details.

According to ESPN, law firm Morgan & Morgan revealed Monday in a statement that Parsons "suffered multiple severe and permanent injuries including a traumatic brain injury, disc herniation and a torn labrum."

Parsons, 31, was reportedly driving home from practice last Wednesday when he was struck at a busy intersection. The driver responsible for the accident was apparently driving drunk and caused the three-car crash.

During the ladder years of his career, Parsons has been plagued by injuries that have limited his play. According to his representative, at the time of the wreck - Parsons was in peak condition.

It is unclear at this time if his permanent injuries will end his career.
