DALLAS - The 2018 Servpro First Responder Bowl ended in a no contest for Boston College and #25 Boise State, as lightning in the area sent both teams to their respective lorckerrooms in the first quarter.

For fans, many of whom traveled from both Boston and Boise, Idaho - the fact that no backup plan was in place was quite frustrating. For over a week, bad weather was predicted for Wednesday. Still, the uncovered Cotton Bowl was the designated venue.

The game went on for all of ten minutes before organizers delayed everything for over an hour. The only score was a rushing touchdown by Boston College running back AJ Dillon.

Seniors from both teams hoped to play a competitive game for there final outing as collegiate athletes. Bands, cheerleaders and fans were forced to pile into team buses and head away from the Cotton Bowl as if the game never happened.
