Love & Hip Hop Hollywood: A Tale of TOO MANY Cast Members

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood: A Tale of TOO MANY Cast Members

Confession time: One of my guilty television pleasures is Love & Hip Hop – ALL OF THEM.

There, I said it.

As I watched the final episode of the season unfold tonight, it dawned on me the real problem with this season: too many storylines about “extras.”

If you determine “reality show celebrity” status by wealth, experience or media attention – we can agree that there were only two true celebrities on this season: K. Michelle and Ray J.

Did it seem like their storylines faded into the background for the likes of a stripper with daddy issues, music producers auto-tuning the voices of non-singers and the most mixed up orgy narrative of one Teairra Marie?

This season was all mixed up with some of the most unlikely characters.

Don’t get me wrong - I adore Brooke Valentine, however, her relationship with Marcus is bothersome. We love Nikki Baby, but even her role diminished to give more screen time to La’Britney, Shun Love, Amber Diamond and Jay Will/Kandie. Who?

Exactly. Who?

The cast this season will probably need six couches for the reunion. There were just too many forced dynamics this season. We would’ve been happy minus about six cast members, or maybe just the individuals included in the promo image provided by VH1.
