Fresh, bold, innovative and fashionably stimulating all describe Esé Azénabor’s designs. Objet D'Art is her ninth collection.

Thursday evening she brought out a side of Dallas’ Fashion Culture that is often forgotten about. Everyone looked great, smelled even better and strutted their respective fashions around the historical Hall of State at Dallas’ Fair Park.

Celebrities, professional athletes, dignitaries and fashion enthusiasts from both near and far were on hand to celebrate the creative progression of Esé Azénabor. The talented Nigerian born Azénabor has an affinity for Texas. About six years ago, she ditched her familial history of college life and followed her passion for fashion.

It was 2016, my second time covering Fashion X Dallas when I met Azénabor. She stood with her original designs, ready and excited to share both her story and her work with passersby. I saw then her authenticity and her dedication to detail. She was ready for all that awaited her in the world of fashion.

Over the last few years, Azénabor has been recognized all over the country for her work. She has definitely made a name for herself. To see her host a fashion show in a very tough Dallas industry and to bring out some powerful people is simply astonishing. She deserves every bit of the positive attention.

One of Azénabor’s most consistent goals is to empower women. Thursday night, some of the biggest movers and shakers in Dallas wore her designs and modeled both gracefully and confidently down the runway.

In total 70 looks were featured by 40 influential women, including Pat Smith, Tammy Franklin, Kim Olusanya, Jenna Jenovich, LeeAnne Locken, Rebekah Finley, Sabrina Harrison, Courtney Ajinça, Sherice Brown, Anita Hawkins, Yasmeen Tadia, Annia Jenkins, Kristin Smith, Donna Richardson, Rhonda Sargent Chambers, Gina Ginsburg, DeDe Mcguire, Dawn Neufeld, JoJo Herda, Carinthia Kishaba, Yana Greenstein, Carmen Hancock, Stephene Tolocko, Whitney Kutch, Yodit Tewolde, Danyel Surrency Jones, Naila Malik, Kimberly Aston, Lindsey Lee McCain, Norah D. Meiers-Maroulis, Rania S. Mohamed, Michelle Priest, Deve Sanford, Tama Tran, Becky Cole, Melissa Moore, Chioma Nwogu-Johnson, Brandi Holmes, Jessica Chinyelu Anibowei, Dr. Taaka Cash, Laura Ngole and Esé Azénabor.

Together Azénabor and Action With Compassion Dallas, Inc. celebrated women, while fighting Domestic Violence with the Objet D'Art reveal.
