Tuesday Sound Off: Bri Steves

Sometimes the advertisements on Instagram are annoying. Today, however, a unique voice caught my attention.

The song was called “Jealousy” and the harmonic chords were strummed from the vocal stylings of one Bri Steves.

The Philadelphia rapper was a recent college graduate at last year's Made in America Festival, hoping to network with other musicians. This year, Steves was able to take the stage when festival headliner Kendrick Lamar brought her out during his set.  

"Jealousy," was Steves’ first single, which she debuted in the spring. The YouTube video has over 920,000 views. Keoni Marcelo directed the feel good street corner video. The sexy, tomboy, pierced up and eccentric touts of Steves in the Philly streets gives nothing but great vibes.

Her second single, "Ain't S-," dropped last month. 

The voice and the charisma give us so many reasons to believe we’ll hear much more from Steves in the near future.
