Enraged is More Like It...

Demonstrators convened at the Dallas Police Headquarters Monday evening. They held signs, boasting the name and image of the late Botham Shem Jean. They chanted and they proceeded to march in the direction of the South Side Flats, where Jean was murdered by Dallas Police Amber Guyger.

While Guyger was of course far from her DPD comrades, the officer’s negligent actions were on the minds of the Dallas community. The protest would remain peaceful for well over 90 minutes, but as the night grew darker - the sentiments of the people became more animated.

“We want answers” shouted one demonstrator. “Stop killing us,” yelled another individual.

Officers on horses and in patrol cars held their positions, as protestors took to the intersection as Lamar Street stretches atop Interstate 30.

The crowd echoed “We demand justice” into the darkness of the night.
