Dallas Smoke Shop Finds Love in the Community

Opening a business in ones community is often times the ultimate business goal. Being supported by that community is the ultimate success story.

For Pleasant Grove native Damian Washington and South Dallas native Erica Daniels – watching frequenters stop in and support their store Greedy Grove Smoke Shop #2 is a dream come true.

The smoke shop has become a family business for the couple. Washington’s cousin’s opened the first such smoke shop in the area, and then came Greedy Grove Smoke Shop #2. Once inside the store, customers are welcomed by a limitless supply of tobacco products, air fresheners, art, apparel, accessories and much more.

“Just being able to open and run a business in your own neighborhood is a great feeling,” says Washington.  

Curious passersby in the business Pleasant Grove neighborhood help the store remain busy. Even fellow business owners in the strip mall stop by on a regular basis.  

“The community has been extremely supportive of the shop,” explains Daniels. “Word of mouth and social media have helped spread this success story.”
